Knowledge is power and education is the effective mean to attain the knowledge. To the educational and intellectual empowerment of the specially abled people(persons with disability), SAKSHAMA has taken following initiatives across the nation
SAKSHAMA is running educational institutes, hostel, audio book library, Brail publication, Brail and sign language training centre, Computer training and skill development centre in various parts of the country. In line with nation-wide programme, SAKSHAMA has launched “Jnana SAKSHAMA” project in Karnataka, under which following programmes are taken:
  • “JNANODAYA”
The literary meaning of ‘Jnanodaya’ is rise of knowledge, which aim to provide educational kits to specially abled kids and students ranging from primary classes to post-graduation. This program is supported by Texas instruments CSR initiative.

  • “DHVANI”
The literary meaning of ‘Dvani’ is ‘sound’, where SAKSHAMA try to provide audio books for visually challenged students created by volunteers.
